The U.S. Mission in Germany is one of the largest U.S. Diplomatic Missions in the world, due in large to its vital geographical situation, its political, and commercial importance in Europe. The U.S. Mission comprises the Embassy in Berlin and five consulates in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Leipzig and provides a wide array of services and support as well as playing a vital role in German American relations.
The U.S. Embassy Berlin is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Visa Clerk / Courier [official title: Travel Clerk (m/f/d)].


Aufgaben

In this part-time position you will assist all U.S. Government (USG) employees in Germany requiring a visa for official travel to foreign countries. It will be your task to submit the completed visa request package in person to the appropriate foreign embassy and follow up until the visa request has been completed and is ready for pick-up. You will personally pick-up the passport with visa and return it to the applicant. You will be further responsible to maintain and update information in the according database to track the process on a regular basis.
This position is part of the Travel & Visitors Unit (TVU) of the General Services Office (GSO).


Profil

You have completed secondary school and were able to gain prior work experience in a service-oriented field.
