IT Expert for the Authentication and Authorisation Infrastructure of the NFDI EOSC Node

The DESY group "Information Technology" (IT) is participating in a variety of high profile national and European projects, evaluating new and innovative IT technologies. We are currently participating in the build-up of the German EOSC node together with 10 other highly regarded institutions from the German research landscape and within the National Research lnfrastructure (NFDI). This effort requires a high degree of coordination between more than 300 German universities and research centers as well as national and European infrastructures. To realize this ambitious objective, we're seeking a scientist who possesses expertise in web technologies, especially in federated Authentication and Authorisation infrastructure technologies. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be driven to contribute to the development of these technologies within the evolving EOSC framework.


Aufgaben
  • You will enable German service providers to make use of the authentication and authorisation infrastructure in the NFDI and the EOSC
  • You will collect and consolidate documentation, tutorials and hands-on seminars with regard to login procedures
  • You will contribute to the overall architecture and the design of the German NFDI EOSC node
  • You will participate in regular project meetings, workshops and conferences, both online and in person
  • You will contribute to regular reports towards the project management

Profil
  • You have completed a master's degree or PhD in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering sciences or related subjects
  • You gathered experience with federated ldentity and Access Management protocols, especially SAML and OpenlD-connect
  • You have good knowledge of web technologies and a modern programming language
  • Familiarity with modern cloud technologies, such as Cl/CD and Kubernetes, is beneficial
  • ldeally, you have worked in an academic setting before
  • You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working in large, international teams and is open to travel
  • You have excellent spoken and written command of the English language
